Whether you’re in the market for a city break in the capital, or you live in London full-time and fancy a change of scenery, a staycation in one of the best Airbnbs in London could be just what the doctor ordered. We can’t fly anywhere with ease right now, after all, and London is a great city to explore. One of the continent’s best, in fact – boasting all manner of excellent eateries, pubs and sunny parks on par with those in Barcelona.
That said, it comes at a cost. London isn’t the cheapest of places to stay – so if you’re planning a weekend break in London, you should consider Airbnb. Not only are the prices often even more appealing than those of cheap hotels, but Airbnb allows you to rent an entire place. You can cook for yourself, socially distance, take stock of your new surroundings and feel totally at home. Oh, and the flexibility that our current #WFH situation gives us means we can book a stay, work from someone else’s (much more glam) property, feel replenished and not have to take any annual leave in the process. Your mental health will thank you.
So, we’ve whittled down London’s vast holiday rental offering to 13 of the very best Airbnbs in the city. Compiling this edit was kind of like house hunting – just better – because we could actually afford to stay in the wonderful townhouses, apartments and chic studios we clicked on. If only for one night.
There’s an award-winning home in Islington which scores points for its peaceful garden, central location and botanical-inspired interiors, and a luxurious townhouse nestled in the heart of Covent Garden. There’s also a striking property in Mayfair which is currently offering one third off bookings in July, and the Georgian home of dreams with Instagram opps aplenty.
Every property in this edit is run by an Airbnb “Superhost”, which means they have a rating of 4.8 or above, a 90% response rate (at least) and a record of zero cancellations. Why settle for anything less?
