New casting announced for Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre



As it enters its second year on the West End, new casting has been announced for Come From Away.

The new cast will kick off performances from February 10 at the Phoenix Theatre and is currently expected to run until at least May 23.

It will see Alice Fearn take over the role of Beverly/Annette and others. Her West End credits include Elphaba in Wicked, plus Les Miserables, Shrek the Musical and Into the Woods.

Bob and others will be played by Tarinn Callender, who made his West End debut as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in Hamilton.

Mark Dugdale, whi was previously a Come From Away standby will join the main company as Kevin T/Garth and others.

The roles of Nick and Diane will be taken over by Alasdair Harvey and Kate Graham, who have previously worked together in Mamma Mia!.

Finally, James Doherty will play the role of Claude and others, with his West End credits including Chicago and Marguerite.

They join originaly cast members Jenna Boyd, Mary Doherty, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Harry Morrison, Emma Salvo, Cat Simmons, Chiara Baronti, Alexander McMorran and Jennifer Tierney continuing in the show.

The story of Come From Away tells of what happened when the residents of a small community struggle to accommodate nearly 7,000 passengers from 38 planes had to make unexpected landings in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador on September 11, 2001, as the world are still reeling in the days following 9/11.

Many of characters are based on real-life passengers, including Nick and Diane Marson (Harvey and Graham) a Brit and American who fell in love in real life following the disaster.

It was nominated for seven Tony Awards for its Broadway run and nine Laurence Olivier Awards, winning for Best New Musical.

Come From Away will run at the Phoenix Theatre until at least May 23 and tickets are available here.
